Two older siblings ready to snuggle up with their baby brother always makes for a fun photo shoot. Of course everyone got their time in front of the camera, but baby brother got a little extra TLC. I can’t wait to see their wall gallery once it is complete. It was a such a pleasure to work with this fun family and I hope to do it again someday soon.

I just love helping people celebrate this amazing time in their lives. As the hustle and bustle begins as they prepare for the arrival, it is always nice to take a moment and realize how blessed you are for the family that you have and what it is about to become. That is exactly what this family did during their photo session. Mom enjoyed a little one on one time with each of her “babies” as we captured these images. You can see already how loved this new baby boy will be. I will be doing their newborn pictures in just a few weeks and I can’t wait. Cynthia, I wish you a calm and beautiful birth.

It is always such a pleasure to work with this family. I couldn’t wait to see how this little cutie had grown. She was on the move just like her brother at his 6 month session. I look forward to getting the two of them together sometime soon.

As all my clients know, the pre-planning of the photo session is as important as the session itself. Kristin (my assistant) and I spend a lot of time talking with clients so that they are prepared for their session and know where they are going to display their images. Most of the time I have an idea going into the session where they want to put their wall art or if digital files are the best for them based on the number of gift prints they need. It is better for everyone to spend time in the pre-planning process.

During this pre-planning consultation, I learned that mom collects teddy bears. The image below immediately popped into my head. I knew that baby Drew would now be her favorite little “teddy bear”. The hat fit him perfectly and we were able to incorporate some of Mom’s favorite bears from her collection. The image below helped to make a sweet birth announcement for everyone to enjoy. I waited to post these images on the blog until everyone got their announcement. We didn’t want to ruin the surprise. I have to say it was hard for me to put my little hats on his gorgeous head of hair. What a sweet, beautiful baby he was to photographer. I as honored they chose me to photograph this special time in their lives.

I get so excited for her session as soon as I get the call that it is time. Look at this sweet face and this gorgeous hair. For this session little Addie was ready to play. She danced, giggled, snuggled, laughed, ran around and just sat their looking beautiful. She did an amazing job and I knew when they walked away that I had gorgeous images. I am already planning our next session, but for now they can enjoy these wonderful portraits.

It is always a pleasure to work with this family. I have been photographing big brother since he was a newborn. It is so sweet to see how loving he now is to his baby sister. Even though we focused mostly on her 6 month milestone session, I had to sneak good looking big bro in for a few.

For photographers who have inquired about the background in the second and third image, it is a background paper. I love the look of the soft lights but it is actually the digital paper and not actual lighting.
